Oh no! Disaster! Pretty much the only game i play regularly these days is Pro Evo 6, using playstation 2 pads via a joytech adaptor.

Just loaded up pes6 on vista but it doesn't seem to detect the pads at all. Any ideas?

Or is there a ps2 pad adaptor that will work on vista? I don't mind spending a few quid on one, but obviously i'd rather not shell out for 2 new vista compatible gamepads...

Thanks

ps2 pad is better for some games.. like football and tony hawk games

i thought my vista detected them fine a few months ago.. can't remember now, and dont have it installed to test

Is the pad showing correctly in game controllers?

no, there's nothing showing in game controllers. And no option to add anything. With XP, the adaptor was just auto detected, and subsequently the pads showed up in the settings menu of PES6...

do you get an unknown device ?

windows would at least detect an unknown device, even if it didnt have the drivers to install it properly

if you dont even get that, might be worth checking it in another PC to check the connections and see if its faulty.

hmmn, tried installing the XP drivers for it but it didn't make any difference. When i plug the adaptor in, vista says something about a human interface adaptor being successfully installed...so it detects its presence at least.

The adaptor works fine on my xp partition btw. :)

thought it would at least detect something.

it will be under "human interface devices" or similar in device manager.

might be a case of waiting for vista drivers to appear :(

yeah :( They haven't updated the drivers for ages though tbh. I didn't even need drivers for xp - it just detected it automatically.

Does anyone have a ps2 pad converter that works in vista?
