I have built myself a PS3 controller with all 17 buttons on. I tried to add a single PC joystick to it that can replace
the 2 thumb sticks. But it didn't work as the PC sticks I use, use 100k pots, and PS3 thumbsticks use 10k pots and they travel further then PC sticks.
So after lots of research I came up with this joystick to dismantle and use.
PlayStation Analog Joystick (SCPH-1110).
The new joystick can be used as 1 thumb stick or a combination of the 2 thumb sticks by switches.
So up and down on 1 stick.
Left and right on the other stick.
This is so i can play driving games on the PS3.
The joystick is a bit strange if you a used to PC joystick, as the travel of the stick is a lot further, and on Grand Turismo 5, the accelaration seems to be nearly all at the end of travel. But it works. Haven't had a proper go with it yet as i'm just finishing Assassin's Creed Revelations on the PC. I'm hoping to get it working with the PS2 aswell, but this is more complicated.
There are no build intructions with this, but if you are interested in this, email me.
