So after a month or so of owning a PS3 and getting it running seamlessly with TVersity I wanted to take another step forward with the integration with the PSP.

I haven't quite hit the nail on the head with the setup yet but its 95% there.

Providing my PC is turned on, which it always is. My PS3 can access all of my media on my PS3 using TVersity. Which I would like to say works excellently with all of my content I have available.

Not only does it house all of my video media, it also has all of my stored music and digital photographs.

Excellent for when im sitting at home in front of my TV.

Thanks to the boffins at Sony I am now able to take my entire media library with me where ever I find an internet connection using Sony's Remote Play.

From my PSP I can access my PS3 from an external Internet Connection and access basically everything my PS3 can see over my internal network at home.

I haven't quite got it working being able to turn the PS3 on from the PSP yet (i think i need a static IP address on the PS3).

I arrived at work this morning with my PSP and my PS3 in Remote Play mode at home not ideal leaving it turned on all day but for the purpose of this exercise it proved successful.

Using my works internet connection, I was able to access my PS3 using the Remote Play mode and access everything on my PS3.

It took a little bit of messing about with my Router to be able to get this working. (Thank the boffins for logmein)

I am now able to access my entire media collection on the go, where ever I am in the World providing I have an internet connection I am able to stream Video, Music and images direct to my PSP.

There are a few options to tweak the speed of the connection. On the lowest setting of 256k which is around 30KB/s Upload speed which is standard on most connections these days right up to 1024k upload.

For me 768k was the ideal option which gave best perfomance and image quality.

Not only could I access all of my Media but I was able to play some of my PSN games on my PSP, including Crash Bandicoot and Poker :D

Well done to Sony for making all of this available to us and pushing us in the right direction of the next generation of home entertainment.

Disclaimer: I own both PS3 and 360 so im not Biased.

I don't get that bit mate.

Are you saying that you can play those titles, which are PS3 games, on your PSP similar to a RDP session?

'cos that's bloody impressive!!!

Thats correct!

I am sitting at work in Nottingham. My PS3 is switched on at home in Walsall.

I am able to remotely stream some of my PSN games directly to my PSP and play them wherever I am.

Is it true you can remotely play whatever PS1 game is in the PS3s blu-ray drive at the time?

If this is the case, i need a PSP, fast.

Also correct.

OK, let me word this differently 'cos I'm not familar with the terminology of this PSN thing.

If I went out today and bought Burnout Paradise for a PS3, I could do what you've done and play Burnout Paradise on my PSP at my office?

Nope unfortunately PS3 games wont play on the PSP :p

PSN games are like XBL Arcade titles. Stuff like Pacman and games like that.

There are PS1 titles available on the Playstation network what can be downloaded to the PS3's HDD. As far as im aware 100% of PS1 games will work on PS3 / PSP.

I just wish i'd wireless connection at work to do this.

How can you get it to turn your PS3 on?

I couldn't manage this even though the PSP was accessing the same router as the PS3 :(

I have managed to do it from my internal connection at home. There is an option under the System tab for Remote Play. There's an option in there to allow Remote Play to turn on the PS3.

However I have yet to achieve this from an external internet connection. At the moment my PS3 grabs it's IP address via a DHCP server (automatically) I think that I may need to give it a static IP address.

Its just going to be a case of trial and error.
