My PSU doesn't have the 8 pin 12 volt motherboard connection

Hey guys. Was doing my new build this evening and everything was going great. Had a few tight space issues but everything is in and looking fancy. My last power connection to get it going was the 8 pin connection on the motherboard I believe to power my Cpu. I realised after about half an hour of scratching my head that my psu does not have the 8 pin connection for this...

The psu is 600w with OCz stealth X stream 2 written on the side, it's about 5 years old but has done me well. Is there anything I can do? Please help I was so excited to finish my build only to fall at the last hurdle...

It does have cables for cpu 1 and cpu 2 but only one of them seems to fit, from the motherboard document it shows the two types of shapes and one doesn't seem to want to fit. It's awkward to get to behind the corsair aio though maybe I'm doing it wrong. I'll see if I can get pictures of the connections

It definately should fit as I have used these units on budget builds a few years ago. You have to fit the two halves together before fitting to the board. There is a locking tab (locks the plug to the socket on the board) on each of the two halves and when they are locked together these two tabs should be both on the same side and towards the centre of the now 8 pin block.

Oh I see that's me probably being an idiot :( I was trying one at a time rather than connecting them together. I'll try after work.

Worst case scenario I can use an adaptor right? I don't want to link to a competitor but I've found a cable calllllled..
8 Pin 12V CPU to 4 Pin 14V Power Cable 0.3m

Positive I've got plenty of 4 pin 14v on the thing so that should connect up and convert ok if for whatever reason I fail at connecting the two PSU parts together?

Thanks very much for all the advice guys I'm looking forward to getting this all sorted. I build pc's at work (very basic ones for a primary school to save on budget) but this is my first one for myself!

Have a great Christmas.
