Hi guys,

Recently completed a build with the following specs:

I5 4690k
Msi 970 GTX
MSI Gaming 5 Z97 Motherboard
8gb HyperX 1866mhz RAM

I used an old OCZ 550W fatality power supply, and I have had a few issues that I believe are PSU related. I hear a strange noise on power down. (That you can listen to HERE) and also times where my keyboard is completely unresponsive, until you re-plug it in. People have suggested that the PSU is at fault and best I replace it. Even though my system is still working okay, I would feel more comfortable with a new PSU.

OCZ still have a little info on the PSU on their site HERE

Now I trust OCUK forum users opinions, so would appreciate some help here. I have around £60-80 to spend, what would you suggest?

I have looked at the Corsair CX600M and EVGA Supernova 650W G1, but I really do not know much about PSU's.

ps - I am a big fan of Modular and Semi-Modular PSU's

Thank you pastymuncher for your knowledge! Help's people like me out when it comes to PSU's!

The Antec TruePower classic is brilliant value for money agreed.

If the OP does want modular, try this. Seasonic made, and fully modular, 120 mm LED fan that you can turn off and coloured anti vibration strips.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Antec EDGE 550w 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply £69.95
Total : £79.55 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Thank's i'll take a look. Is there decent length on the cables for the Antec? I have a mid tower case (NZXT s340) and my current PSU cable struggles to stretch for the top motherboard connection.
