I just wanted to talk a little about my current PSU...

firstly, the other bits inside my comp;

CPU - AMD Athlon II X3 425 Processor 2.7GHz
RAM - Corsair DDR3 8GB (2x 4GB)
GPU - AMD Radeon HS 6670 1024MB (Low Profile)

Now how many Watts do you think that would require?

becuase my PSU provides a whooping...220W.. So i'm assuming thats the cuase of my frequent "AMD drivers stopped resonding and was recovered" error.

Problem is my current case is a Small Form Factor, and i don't see any PSU's on overclockers that would physically fit, which is why i'm planing on buying a new case and psu together in stage 1 of my upgrade, stage 2 will be a new MoBo and CPU together, and then stage 3 will be a new GFXcard and finally stage 4 will be a SSD and maybe windows8.

What brand PSU do you currently have?

220W should power that rig easily, what else is on the PSU? Hard drives? fans? any front bay devices?

Have you overclocked the Graphics card at all? drivers not responding is usually a classic sign of an unstable overclock.

Have you tried different drivers? and what are you using the system for when this problem happens?

well its got 2 250gb HDDs, dvd r/w drive, haven't touched the GFX card for overclocking, psu sticker says "Chicony" thats the only name on it. edit: and i'll add that i only started getting these driver response errors after i upgraded my ram from 2gb to 8gb

I've got the CX500 on my list, just for a bit of extra future proofing, i mean eventually i want to get a much better GFX card and probably crossfire/sli it
