Hey,
I have touched this subject before but my Cpu temps concern me, Espically if am wanting to clock it later down the line.

At idle my temps are between 52-57 on all four cores although am using Arctic 7 and that pushes air to my 2 rear 80mm sharkoon exsurst fans.

I was using a Fan Zalman fan control on my CPU fan but this didnt improve the temps much only to high 40's.
If i take off Q-fan control in the MoBo set up the temps will lower to about 40 at idel....But the NOISE (@ 3100rpm !)

I cant imagin what is wrong as i know people with a temp of 57 on load with 3.0ghz overclocked (same cpu)
Any Advice?

i have Checked and Double checked everything is fitted correct and fans blowing the right way.

i would check to see if you have your HS on right those temps are what i get under load and mine is OC to 3ghz.

i used the X method to apply my thermal paste and put HS on that but i do admit i did lap the TRUE and i put it sideways so that it vented out of the back of the case.

one fan pushing and the other pulling air out, not much use i know but thats what i did and a friend of mine did the same and his temps were high but he did have a crappy case and put it next to a radiator

Take a plung and lap the HS and cpu? like i said i did it to my TRUE and it did make a difference.

My Q6600 OC> 3.2 ACF 7 PRO with just to case fans one front pulling air in, rear fan air out idle AV=39cc, load AV=58c, modded a side vent to take a fan 120mm which blows directly onto my GFX card idle AV=75C , + fan temps dropped idle AV=68c . CPU temps dropped idle AV=36c, googled my set up and came across a thread to flash my Sapphire 4850 Bios to latest Asus 4850 did this and my GFX card (auto fan) now idles AV=48c, load AV=67c OC 675/1100MHz stock cooler. Now my CPU idles AV=33c, so putting in a side vent fan alone CPU temps dropped 3c. So l would reseat your ACF 7 with a good thermal compound AC MX-2, and if you have a side vent add a fan, l take it you have a fan at the front of the case?

but its not 40 its 50+ which is a lot of peoples load temps.
i use AS5 aswell and made sure it has not been applied to thick. with the fan at 1800rpm it is quite quiet thats on performace setting on my MoBo set up.

still a new case may improve as there is no air being brought in but as i mentioned i previously had a case with 2x80mm fans at front and 1x80mm bringing air in, and a 120mm exhaust fan with my CPU fan pushing air to it. yet still looking high 40's at temp.

GFX card is 50-60 on average at idel and i push the fan speed to 75% rather than standard 60%.

am just at a bit of a loss concidering when i put the thing together it was running at 30-35 degrees for first month.... its supposed to get cooler as the AS5 sets in properly?
