my quad core 6600

ok ive got a quad core 6600 95 watt edition
crucial xms 6400 4 gig of ddr2
thermalright ultra extreme with 120 fan fitted
150 gig raptor
geforce 8800gtx all thrown on a P5B delux mobo
all in a antec 900 case ive also put a thermalright cooler on the gtx with a 92 mill fan

thats idle ive not monitored it yet during stress

Even so, that's pretty special - I've got my G0 stable under water cooling at 3.65GHz and it idles at about 47C on each core and about 65C under load. I'm having to run 1.45V to keep it stable with 0.3 extra on the Northbridge of my P35-DS4. It is totally stable though - 3200ppd on F@H.

im really bothered about testing anyways im a games player and do a bit of video its not crashing so why should i be bothered

You should be bothered, you need to find the real temps of the cores, this will help to protect your cpu if it's overheating. What happens when your on the last level of your game and the computer dies?

Just get prime quad and test the machine, Mine will do 3.8 prime for nearly 4 hours, but reset's it's self, thats with 1.5v real vcore and temps of 70+ on watercooling.

We really are trying to help you, and all hope that your machine is stable at that speed.

rigth ok which temp tools do i use then speed fan and core temp say the same thing

i havent tried lowering the volts yet im still OCing and playing

Just add 15c to the temperatures shown on speedfan, the tjunuction they calculate the temperature from is 85c rather than 100c.

So your idle temperatures are actually around 48c
