Did my mini-itx build last night, but when I tried to change the RAM speed from CAS 5 to it's rated CAS 4, the system just did an almighty long beep when I tried to reboot and told me to go back to the BIOS menu and change the setting back.
I increased the volts to 2.1 as required, so I've no idea why it's not working, when it worked perfectly fine in my old system?
I'm going to buy a 4GB kit (2 x 2GB) soon and was going to grab a CAS4 one, but if this problem is going to recur, then I might just lump for the OcUK budget stuff, which is CAS5.

Any suggestions/thoughts?

It was actually that Kingston stuff in your sig I was considering getting, ah well, looks like the OcUK CAS5 4GB kit will have to do.
Thanks for the info!

Yea the kingston stuff requres 2.2v at stock speeds (i have the 1066mhz stuff) i thought i could get away with it as the board only supports 800mhz but its a no go im guessing as the board only lets you do 2.1v, its also friggin hot ram to hot to touch after a gaming session.
