Hi guys,

Just installed some OCZ 4gb(2x2gb) on my Striker Extreme. The PC booted into windows ok but everest said it was in single channel mode, checked with other proggys too. I went in my bios and manually set the mem to 800mhz and windows came up with BSODs and wuldnt boot. Even had lock ups in the bios screen. Anyway, set the mem back to auto and windows booted fine. I flashed the bios to the latest (1503) and set the mem manually to 800mhz and windows boots fine. Proggys still says its single channel and my Vista mem score is a low 4.5. The RAM is installed in slots A1 and A2, is this right for duel channel? as I had 4 sticks before. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

err..... try the other slots and see if it boost up with "Dual Channel" on the bios boot message?

Single/Dual is normaly automatic and controled by the slots you put the sticks in.

Yeah, stupid me had it in the wrong slot (hey I am disabled, i'm allowed to make the odd mistake LOL).

The RAM is running great now. My Vista mem score is now 5.8:D It was 5.0 with the unbranded crap that was installed before.
