hello guys

well as you maybe aware, I ve been hinting at sluggish HDD/optical drive performance with my current mobo (rampage formular, I can't seem to find my threads regarding it or rather I didn't bother )

This problem is starting to annoy me badly its not only doing it while installing windows ethoir it seems to have slow reading speeds for optical drivers ( I have two) I m not sure what is causing it ethoir, all power cords are in, I ve had 4 new HDDs (3 seagtes and 1 Samsung) yet the problem is still there, ive had it at stock and overclocked, problem still persists.... I didn't notice it until after a I had a little accident when I changed case () that involved getting edged up on something while trying to carry my old case with my hardware inside it down stairs and the computer made it to the bottom before I did. but all seemed well, could that have damaged the SATA ports somehow? or even the chip itself.

As i said its working properly but this problem is very annoying, as sometime it slows the PC right down while its trying to read something, other times its fine  I m not sure new optical drives would help it as they spin up and read fine, just the system does nothing.

na, everything is sweet in there, like I said it seems to do it while installing windows, which can't be drive causing it... I guess I could nick a IDE optical drive and use that, see if it does it.

its easier to replace them than the damm mobo.

its a very tiresom and annoying problem, gaming is fine as it the CPU loads what it needs to the RAM, so its fine around the northbridge but not on the south for some reason
