Just redone my wc and went for a red loop.. or so I though. Blood red uv colouring and I used twice as much as it said I needed and its still come up pink?

Can I get red????? I don't mind pink that much and my daughter loves it but if possible I'd like to have what I originally intended.

Anyone got any experience of achieving red?

I have absolutely no experience of water cooling... would it be possible to use food colouring (just a small amount) to deepen the colour without causing corrosion?

I would be wary of using it with mixed metals. Any of the soluble dyes used in food colouring are likely to increase conductivity and alter pH.

With an all copper w/c loop your only concerns would be how it affects surface tension (ability to wet/cool blocks) and also be wary that it would probably stain the tube.

Seeing as you have already put in double the blood red dye, I'm sure that you'd have staining already.

If you got all copper blocks/rads etc I'd say give it a go - gota be better than girly pink. If you do, get the darkest/blackest red food dye you can find so that the lowest % be required.

Remember - pink is just diluted red anyhow.

surly it would have a massive amount of red to make it a proper red its just like adding red to white it will go pink is there no one how does it pre made or....... just buy red pipe lol

Only guys who arn't comfortable with their sexuality are scared by pink water matt ;)

mate, its the amount of pink and lilac shirts I've got that prove I have no problem with my feminine side ;)

I'm kinda liking the pink now.. just getting fed up with installing and reinstalling and reinstalling.. Something isn;t happy with my hardware. No hardware change but my old windows install bsod'ed saying nf4.disp was the problem so I've reinstalled but it's still not happy.

Hoping it was the 6.70 nv drivers because I'm going back to 6.66 now to try sorting it. Problem is it'll install and work fine until I come to reboot whereby it hangs and you have to turn off then on then off then on then off etc until you finally get into windows where its stable (not clocked yet).

Bloody irritating.

i presume you got it from cc - if so i used a whole bottle and its red, even use red cathodes (which are pink) to enhance colour, id say go for blue or green seams easyer to get the true colour
