Hey guys,

I've been planning on getting my A2 licence due to the fact I'm only 18, and well I had my motorbike theory test and the news is; I passed! :D 45/50 on the questions and 66/75 out of the hazard perception!

Now my job is to get some lessons booked and get on with Mod1 then Mod2! I've already got my note book out and rang a few places and cheapest I've found is £25 an hour, but found someone who has got a good pass rate (says so on his website) and he offers blocks at £85 a pop which is for 3 hours. kidloco, may I ask where you did your DAS at mate as you live in Warrington like so <?

Just thought I would share with you gentlemen my aim, and shall update on any progress I do!

Thanks for reading :)

Ben

Thanks guys for your support!

I need to ring one more place today and see what he offers. Some time today, I will have some training booked and I shall update you guys!

Ive had a look at the courses, but places now are starting to scrap them as they tend to do all the training and tests in very little time and when people fail mod1, they lose their money from mod2. Thats what ive been told my 2 places I have rung.

Ive had 2 years road experience in june, but i cant do the tests my self as I only run around on a 50cc.

Thanks guys

Thanks for all of your support guys, really appreciated it :)

Good news all, I have a date for my training and my Mod1 test!! :D 5th April for training and 12th April for the test!

I rang the fella today asking him a bit more question etc about the test and training, and we worked out an arrangement. This Monday, he wants me to drop him and he will show me what I will need to learn and write these down things like U-turns etc because I've told him I've been practising at home. Anyway, he will tell and show me what to do, then the following Thursday to do a 3 hour training session for Mod1. Then the following Thursday is test day which is a 7am start :(

I am feeling quite confident with this and Phil (the instructor) seems like an outstanding guy and I'm sure I will get on fine with training and the test!

Pricing: nearly had a heart attack but hey I did expect that. £185 for the 3 hour training session on the 5th, then 3 hours use on the 12th for my test and training before the test so 6 hours use and includes the price for the Mod1 test which is peanuts!

Going to start now on these light evenings is to do some more U-turns then do some slow riding and a few circles of 8's and I should be laughing!

Just thought I would update guys on my journey! :)

Thanks for reading!

Just an update guys, I know its late but hey!

I had my first training session on the 5th which went really well, went over to Athernton in St Helens to practise for my Mod1 test, and my instructor told me I did amazingly well and should have no reason to fail.

It being the 12th today, my test was at half 8 and the news is, I PASSED! Clean sheet, no minors, NOTHING! Me and the instructor was over the moon!

I now I have 1 more training session on the 23rd of this month which is a Monday and have my Mod2 test on the 27th which is a Friday! I can't wait! Instructor says keep at what your doing now and you should pass no problem. However, he wants to brush up on a few things and go through a few things before my test like questions they may ask you about the bike etc, me drifting sometimes near to central reservation and look at hill starts etc but its mostly basic stuff. I can't wait, riding on a 50cc for 2 years in June has really paid off!

Had a good thought on when the best time to get a big bike and I've come up with August time. Reason being; I'm on holiday with the other half in July, and I gain 2 years no claims on June 19th.

I've finally settled on what bike I want; Yammaha Thundercat 600. I love the sporty looks it has, and for it being a sports tourer as well as being a sports bike, it will be easier for me considering I'm a tall lad. Really good engine I believe, and a decent one can be had for around £1500.

Anyway's, just thought I would give you a long lost update on how I'm going :)
