hey dudes

So my router is busted, and in any case using with with the university network is fiddly and requires messing with MAC address and they're doing room checks and all that crap, so really im not fussed about replacing it.

So i'm thinking, if i put something like this in my machine, will it be sufficient to share the connection with my PS3 and Laptop?

With your PC set up as a router it's possible but unsure of whether THAT adapter supports the kind of network you need. It will do Ad-Hoc but Infrastructure? Unsure.

Better off getting an Access Point and configuring your PC that way. You also need to know what security the Uni has in place as it may well be able to detect additional devices beyond that of your PC.

Easier said than done though :p

I wont be using all the devices at once, of course, but it'd be nice to be able to continue chatting whilst having a dump.

Acess Points, is there one you'd recommend? I really dont want to spend a fortune on it but £30 isn't unreasonable. I wont be gaming over it, but running updates from the PS3 etc would be ace.

I'd still be using my PC as my workhorse/gaming machine.
