Am pretty disappointed seeing the image on my Gear VR looks so much better then my Rift..

My samsung gear VR image is far clearer, specially on things like text..

Try removing the protective plastic sheets from the Rift lenses.

My gear vr has a red tint around the edges of objects and txt, unless I look straight on objects.
Using s8+
Rift is fine.
