my sapphire vapour x R290 only has 1000 clock speed not 1030

this card is meant to have 1030 overclock from factory but using a number of utilities it only shows 1000 rather than 1030.

the memory is correct at 1400 but not the correct core speed of 1030

why is this - does this mean i have a defective card

Have you tried moving the cards bios switch

Sapphire usually have a standard, and a factory 'OC' model of each card.

In this case the standard card is clocked at 1000 MHz, and the OC model at 1030 MHz.

The model numbers are 11227-05 and 11227-04 respectively.

Sounds like you have the former.
