I was wondering if you all would take a look at the setup i have made and suggest any possible changes that would benefit me or to be able to save money but still keep good solid performance.

I will be using this computer mainly for gaming but will also use it for minimal things like MSN, internet music and movies i will also be using level editors in games such as Crysis and Source SDK and might experiment using others, i will also do some modeling of characters and such

I dont need a Monitor, OS or Keyboard and Mouse
i will be grabbing the Sidewinder X4 and a gaming mouse from here but not yet

Components look fine, I use that cooler and it works great. You could possibly save £20/30+ by swapping the case for a cheaper one? With that money saved you could go for the Phenom 965 which is slightly more expensive, £15, or just overclock that one if you need the extra power. I'd get another opinion on that power supply too. I have the 600W variant which works fine but i'm not sure if 500W will be enough, just a caution :).
 
Thanks for the tip, but i picked the case coz i like it :) and i think the processor should do me just fine. what Power Supply would you recommend me get with the specs that i have?
 
^^ yes, Western Digital Caviar Black - my choice would be! recently got one, they are fast!

as to PSU, personally I prefer corsair, zalman, but many people use this OCZ's and happy with it
