My seventy year old manbag has broken, where can I get some of this webbing sort of stuff?

My manbag is a genuine WW2 gas mask bag from around 1942 so is over seventy years old.

As I got out of the car and picked it up yesterday, one side gave way.

The webbing bit on the side which holds the strap has simply worn through. Here's what the other side looks like.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of some of that mesh webbing stuff so I can fashion a repair?

This is what I eventually bought to repair my bag and I took it in somewhere and had them do it for me. It seemed sensible to use a vintage strap to fix it. Here's how it turned out.

It's a pretty good repair and they even used the webbing to patch a small hole that had worn through in that area as well.

So I'm happy, a vintage bag repaired with vintage materials and I'm now using it again :)
