My Sharing Folders, MSN

Is there anyway you can remove this folder in my computer? Do you really need it?

In Live Messenger, go to options.
Choose the Sharing Folder tab and remove.
You don't need it unless you want to share a folder with a friend.

Yeah I done that, and unticked 'use a sharing folder when I drag a file into contacts........'

But in my computer the icon is still there

The Mess Patch from www.mess.be also does it, as well as letting you remove ads and all the other nonsense in WLM.

regsvr32 -u -s "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\fsshext.8.1.0178.00.dll"

(or similiar depending on your version of Live Messenger)

I always use the mess.be patch. You can remove all the ads, contacts manager and the rest of the bloat.

Just different ways of doing the same thing really Jimmy1983. Bit like say Windows/Linux or Office/OpenOffice. Do roughly the same thing but in a different way.

For the record I use A-Patch personally. I just find it a smoother process than the Mess.be patch. The Mess.be site is also just chaotically organised.

Avoid the mess.be patch. Don't know if it still is, but it used to be riddled with spyware. I'll never trust that site again! A-patch works great

Ah that bad is it? I just didn't like the patch and the site. A patch is just "cleaner" for me.

One addition I did like with mess.be was you could add tabs for when you chat. Can;t see an option with A patch.
