My Shuffle survived a washing machine and tumble dry!

Having spent a day or so looking for my Shuffle, it eventually turned up in my trouser pocket. And they were in the tumble dryer.

Full wash at 40 oC and 1600 RPM Spin + 80 mins in a tumble dryer on high heat and it still works! The battery needed charging but that was all.

Amazing.

Most portable electronics would survive it.

I guess so - though I was probably lucky the battery had run completely flat. Had I switched it on upon right away (I didn't charge it for a few days) it might have shorted out if there'd been any residual moisture on the pcb. Granted - unlikey after 80 mins in a tumble dryer!

Anyway - I wouldn't recommend it
