Is this good for 1900x1200 gaming at max setting (BC2, Mass effect2, upcoming games such as Splinter cell, max payne..etc)

Similiar to my gaming rig (see sig) same CPU, RAM etc etc Can't see much to pick at and plenty of room for expansion in the future.

As to running max settings 1900 x 1200...... sure ..... easy. If I disable 1 of my HD5870's it will still run max settings at 1920 x 1080!

Being extra picky, I would say your getting a top line air cooling case and fitting a H5O could save a couple of pence and get a Antec 902?

This is a rig used for only gaming ? If this is the case why have you gone down the I7 route ? Could save some pounds by going I5 or 965 black edition and have nearly exactly the same performance, give or take a frame. The only place that the I7 outperforms is when its HT technology comes into its own with photoshop, coding etc.

Cool,
good reviews for i5 ..... I'll reworkout my spec again. I could save at least a 100 pounds:cool:

Dont know if you have allready gone ahead and pressed the purchase button but here goes :P You can use the same spec you have above switching the mobo and i7 to this

Be careful not to get confused with the dual core and quad I5's. The quad really is the better option. With the money you save you could maybe think of investing that into a better graphics card.

Also change the hard drive from the 1tb to the 500 gb version. Its much faster and im guessing 1tb will be overkill for your needs anyhow.

i5 750 or 955 BE is definately the way to go for gaming - both cheaper than the i7, and there is very little (if any) difference between them. With the 'spare' money you could go down the route of a GPU upgrade, or a boot SSD.
