I soon want to upgrade to a

MSI Z77 MPower Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 ATX Motherboard

Avexir MPower Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

Seasonic 860w '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply

still keep my i7 2600k on that z77

I personally wouldn't bother going to Z77 as your CPU won't support PCI-E 3.0. That RAM looks good so may as well upgrade to 8GB as it's so cheap right now.

Your current power supply is fine too (assuming it's all working fine), no point in getting the Seasonic 860W.

Just grab some 2x4GB 1600MHz RAM and get overclocking.

Maybe upgrade monitor/peripherals as the system doesn't need changing.
