.............................................................................
Now i need a mobo to take advantage of 2x16 slots for Cross Fire
I've read some x48 mobo's are cherry picked x38 ??? hmm
I've read p45 boards are just slightly slower in benchies as they run slots @ 2x8 ? hmm
I want a mobo that all my stuff will still continue to work nice n easy with 16x Crossfire (really want 4870's when out)
I have come up with 1 in each x38 and x48 flavour
Asus Rampage Formula Intel X48 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...X48 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Asus Maximus Formula Intel X38 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...X38 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Anyone see any problems using either one of these with hardware i've got, Taking into account i want Cross Fire and some overclocking options (6600 is @ 3.2 but she can go higher and my ram's @ 1068)
Or if anyone using other mobo's in Cross fire that would like to chime in with other suggestions ?
My current mobo will be a spare rig after i get new mobo etc
Any help/Advice Much Appreciated
Cheers
Ciao
