I have narrowed it down to this, yes i'm wanting to overclock it.

Asus P5K-VM Micro ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E2160 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.80GHz (800FSB) - Retail

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX (2x1GB)

Dont really need another hdd but am thinking of this anyway:

Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB 5000AAKS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

Opinions please

whats your budget? im sure you can do better then one of the lowest cpu's, a 6750 or 6850 would be brilliant for overclocking.

hit a fault though, no m-atx boards that overclockers do support 1333mhz so have to go for 6320 which should be adaqute, unless you go else where.

Either spec is good and both cores overclock very well.

E6420 might give you a bit more headroom with the higher multi.

Was reading melborune's thread about the difference between the E2160 & E6600 when both are clockered to 3Ghz, hence why i'm opting for the cheaper chip.
