I have a steam account with half life 2, CS Source and DOD source on. Would I be able to install half life and dod source at home on my dads pc and login with my steam account and play dod source when im at home or not?

I dont want it to block it out or not make it work when im not at home. Would I be right in thinking you can put it on any pc you want but only login with one account name at a time?

If so ill just check to not remember the password on my dads pc

it may be worth an email to tech support for steam to check that out as it may block you, to be sure though you could always completely uninstall it from the computer your leaving behind maybe? then just install it when you get to where you want to use it

You will not get blocked or anything like that if you log onto your Steam account on another PC. You'll not be able to play online at the same time with the same account, but that's about it.

well i know you cant have two instances of the same account running at once, there is however no problem using your steam account on a different computer, my guess(and this is only a guess) as long as your computer isnt connected to the internet or your not logged onto steam, i dont see there being a problem.
but then again i could be wrong.

thanks, thought this would be the case

fullfat -im leaving my computer for about 5 days whilst i go home then go on a short holiday. i dont want to reinstall 7gb of steam games, a lot of which will be updates, lost coast and the like. (thanks for the recommendation anyway though :) )

You can easily copy or move the .GCF files around and reinstall and put them back to avoid redownloading. It's not needed though, Valve don't seem to have any problem with you having Steam installed on more than one system, indeed it almost seems to be encouraged as an advantage of the Steam system.
