I'm not too fussed on the storage, as long as they allow installing to SD cards.
Installing to SD cards might not give "acceptable" performance though so you can see why they dont allow it currently..

Hopefully once 8.1 is out we can do a clean install of it somehow..
Is there a bios screen or boot menu etc on the surface? I binned all the boxes and manualson day dot.
tbh I tihnk now that the price has come down to what it should have been to start with the RT's a decent buy given it comes with office, shame the app store is still a bit lacking....
But we're a year on.
200 quid gets you a Nexus 7 which dominates the Surface all over in spec and apps.
Id be waiting to see what Nokia bring to the table as well for RT, still really happy with my Surface though and if 8.1 brings along some performance gains I may not feel the need to get a newer one.
The 8.1 preview does actually give it a slightly more responsive feel, but don't get your hopes up because it isn't dramatic. Ironically the better side by side stuff actually highlights the need for a bit more grunt since you find yourself multitasking more often (or at least I do)
You're right about the Nokia RT tablets though, if they can come in at a good price it will be worth a look. It may even offer a USP over the Surface if it comes with mobile broadband capability.
