For starters it isn't the 'mass effect engine', you are right, they do use the same engine but there is no such thing as the mass effect engine as mass effect runs on the Unreal 3 engine.

Yeah, I know lol, noob mistake. I hope you know what I mean, they run similar and I wasnt too sure, I really need to do deeper research in the future.

Borrowed from a friend, it isn't buying material, far too short.

On a side note, I only download the rare game to try them out, and if I like it, I'll go to the shop buy the game and suppourt the company to make more. If I dont, I wont play it. I think we as gamers should atleast have the ability to try the full game before buying it, dont know, just my opinion.

Epic Games must be raking it in. Just look at the wikipedia list of games using the U3 engine, it's ****ing huge.

completed it in 3 and a half hours.

Poor game, too short and I don't like the aiming or the movement.

Just got this. Seems nice, apparently theres a physx patch being made. Should be nice i hope it allows the terminators to blow up in parts.

Edit:Nice game so far but lacks AA makes it look horrible, even tho it should work as its a UT3 game. Also sound is messed up after the tunnel its still echoing the voices.

Pretty sure this is using GRIN's own engine, Diesel or something.

its looks boaring...effects are nice and so are the graphics looking at that but I pefer merc 2 which is lot more fun and runs smooth for me

No gfx changing options in the gfx screen. Doesnt look modable either.

Yes this seems to be the case:

Explains why it lacks AA, since GRAW 1/2 didn't have it either.

From official forums i found someone mention some way to mod the game and/or change the gfx settings.

1. Download Graw Bundle Extractor.
2. Extract "quick.bundle" to root the directory of the game.
3. In the file "dieselx.cfg" change the first setting from false to true. (I already had it set on true)
4. Now we can easily change the graphic settings in "graphic_quality.xml" and "sb_render_settings.xml" (they are located in data/settings/ and data/sb_templates/)

Edit could do that above but didnt really help in any way.

I was a fan of the game to be honest. Yes it was short and there wasn't too much variety, but the core gameplay was fun and I liked manouvering about with the cover system. Good review as well although a fair few spoilers in my opinion, particularly the opening sequence of the game!
