Ok ive had this a few days now and heres what i think.

First the photos :

Ok then the specs :

Atom 270 @ 1.6Ghz
1Gb PC6400 RAM
120Gb 5400RPM SATA HDD
8.9" 1024x600 screen
Webcam
Wireless LAN
Windows XP Home

Ok first impressions are good, and has decent expansion options including a card reader, 3 USB ports, VGA out, LAN, and headphone/mic sockets.

Battery life is pretty good, getting about 3 hours surfing the net. The keyboard seems a little crapmed compared to the aspire one i used to have but it feels so much faster and much more responsive then the acer one, probably due to the fact it had a proper HDD rather than a SSD and it has 1Gb RAM, compared to the acer ones 512Mb.

I may try a 2GB DIMM in it, but the manual says maximum of 1Gb supported

Well a small update, it seems that the 1Gb memory limit is software based with the ULPC version of XP it comes with, so the no recovery disc option dosent matter now as im going to install my own windows XP to get around the 1Gb RAM limit.

EDIT : 2Gb installed and working fine :)
