My touchpad is borked

The touchpad on my Acer 5024 seems to have died! Tried reinstalling drivers and a system rollback but its still dead.

I suppose it is possible for anything to die, but i've not heard of touchpads dying.

Worth replacing/repairing?

Have you tried using different drivers? Mine went belly up for a while, but then I downloaded the latest version and it worked a treat, just one of those things :rolleyes:

one day it was working, the next poof, didnt do nothing ;(

if it has had a bit of a knock, the trackpad cable may have come ajar.

If you are confidant, it may be worth finding how to remove the palmrest and have a check and re-seat it.
