First day of my holidays and sat down to play Skyrim (after waking up at my usual "go to work" hour) found out the TV I use for my PC monitor has died!

Now I'm on the look out for some dual monitors either 22 or 24 inch to replace it.

I'll be using it for gaming so TN is fine, but if there are good deals on IPS (< £300 per monitor) then I am open to this also.

I'd be buying on finance from either OCUK or the other place that begins with E. So make/model numbers or links to OCUK would be great.

Wanting to buy ASAP due to only having a week off and no way to play Skyrim :(

Edit: Just took a look at my bank balance and holy crap lol.

Might buy one monitor now and then I'll get another later down the line (a second one if I feel the need for it)

Dual monitors are pretty useless for gaming.

You either want to stick to 1 or get 3 if your system will support them.

This. Imagine the middle of a monitor having an inch thick line going from the top to the bottom of the screen which is were you will be aiming weapons and also menus will be split into two screens if you use two monitors.

Oh, I wouldn't use the dual monitors for gaming, I'd be running one monitor for the gaming but also be using the dual setup for VM and working for my Open Uni studying.

I've been looking at the Dell U2410s and these are looking pretty nice, but open to other suggestions.

Unless you're doing printwork getting a Dell u2410 over a U2412M is just throwing your money away. And even that one is quite expensive compared to U2312HM (you only gain an inch and extra 180 vertical pixels).

So for the best value/£ ratio the U2312HM is recommended. Have to say the British prices on these are quite messed up. Thought it was OC UK charging too much but that doesn't seem to be case, as it's pretty much the same or more everywhere in the UK. In the Netherlands it's a fair bit cheaper, bit strange since there's only a little bit of water between our countries ;)

I have just ordered an LG IPS235V for £128 (not from overclockers though) and so has another forum member in this thread

Not many reviews yet but what info is out there is very positive. These 23" monitors have an IPS screen, VGA, DVI and HDMI connection and are wall mountable. Unfortunately, i won't receive my monitor until next Monday so i won't be able to tell you how good/bad it is but i thought i would let you know about a possible bargain.

Have you thought about one of the 2560x1440 monitors? They can fit three pages side by side at 100% in Word, which is really nice for Uni work!

Excel also goes to 'AM' columns :)

Thanks for the replies guys.

I did think about this also, still trying to decide how much I want to spend. I am being tempted by a 27inch+ monitor after seeing a friend's one today!

Well if you change your mind back to 22"/24" monitor then I would say a U2412M from Dell.

I just bought one, arrived yesterday and it is amazing.

Have a read of my thread here

I started off wanting a U2410, but then people convinced me that the extra features are not worth the money for what I wanted the monitor for

Hope this helps a bit,
