ok so i recently aquired a 2nd hand set of 512mb x2 pc4400 Geil ultra-x modules, hoping to run at 275fsb 1:1 but........they arent playing ball at ALL.

I've tried both sticks, 1 stick, every slot. I'm getting constant crashing and BSODs even when running 200mhz 6-3-3-2.5 (these sticks are supposed to be good for 275mhz 7-4-4-2.5) These are 2nd hand like a said, so its possible for 1 stick to develop a fault in transit/taking in and out the modules ect, but both sticks? Not likely is it, let's be honest. So, im leaning towards a compatibility problem with my motherboar (jetway A210gdms). Ive already got the latest bios, so scratch that. Could it be a timing issue? i've got a64tweaker so i can tweak virtually everything, but i can find any example of the settings used in a64tweaker for ultra-x pc4400 that i can work from.

My only other option is to try them in the gf's pc, but that'll have to wait till tomorrow. Does anybody have any ideas? i was hoping to set a record with this motherboard:(

How many volts are you running through them?
I think youve probably tried everything and doubt they are actually damaged. Im not to sure, sorry.

ive tried 2.7-2.85. i'm convinced its a timing issue in the bios, but i need somebody with a64tweaker to tell me what timings they are running. That's the only thing i can think of. I'll know for sure when i test them in the gf's pc, but untill then they are just sitting on my desk looking nice and shiney in their box lol

Jetway mobo FTL...

I'd guarrentee its that board messing them up, they are very low end budget boards, and from experience I know Jetway boards are as picky as they come.

I wouldnt be supirsed if it were, though id be unhappy to admit it. the quality of the board is anything but low budget, its a fanless solution that has has me running 3ghz on an opty and scoring 32k in 01' with a gto2. As far as component quality goes, its up there with the best, easily on par with a dfi expert. as far as the bios goes though, yes its limited. i can only set the normal memory timings which i beleive is where the problem lies. It's a cheap board afterall, i can't have it all lol

im *this* close to setting a world record with the board. it's very frustrating lol actually ive already set one AFAIK - the highest clocked onboard x300 to run 3dmark, running @ 467mhz.
