i am going to give folding a try, and i want to know if i have to use my old user name

Windows: V5 Beta SMP client 5.91 beta6 fom here.

Use this guide for installing it as it's not really straight-forward.

yes i did run it after i get an error5
why can't they just do a .exe autorun, they want us to fold for them it would help to have an easy proggy

Uninstall it, then reinstall it and run the install.bat from a command window rather from within Explorer.

Also be sure to install it to anywhere but Program Files or x86 Program Files. Vista really doesn't like it being run from Program Files.

There is an easy proggy but it would be such a waste of a quad

It's worth the slight extra faff believe me

If you can be bothered, you will get far higher "points per day" from your Quad if you run a Linux client in a Virtual Machine. It really isn't that hard.

right click the run command from the start menu and run as administrator.

then run the install.bat file from there

got vista ultimate 64 running here with 2 smp clients so it does work

Indeed, you get about 20-25% extra PPD.
