I know someone was talking about setting up a Vent server for OcUK.

Well it happens that I had setup one for a few mates a couple of days ago so does anyone want to try it.

See how many people we can get before it dies!

Teamspeak is pretty elite. Ventrillo looks kinda homosexual. Is anyone in there yet?

Vent is so much clearer than TS to me. It seems much more stable too.

Stability issues with TS? Never have I ONCE seen it crash. As for clarity, change the codec

We had a lot of issues with choppy voices when there were large numbers on the server and the occasional problem where the sound card just crapped out. Tried all settings etc.

We got a vent server set up and never had an issue since. I must admit I probably haven't used TS in more than a year though.

The OS X version of Vent doesn't support the codec the server is running, so I won't be using this, fail.

Teamspeex > OS X vent.
