My Wii Download - what exactly is it?

What exactly is being downloaded?
How big?
Is it just Wii Ware?
Is it Torrents?
Is it a scam?

Any info appreciated to stop a friend from signing up

Based on my pretty good knowledge of the whole homebrew scene with the WII i can say that it is definitely a scam.

Chances are it is either access torrents, a wii newsgroup and freely available homebrew applications.

So in short.... a scam

i call fake as as far as I know wii wont play copy dvd unless it has been modded so downloaded dvd would be the same ?

Looks like a scan you cant get movies on the wii.
