My Win7 64 RC problem

since about 2 days ago when i boot up after about 30 seconds the left hand side of the screen and the task bar/windows buttong become unusable! if i have FF or IE open i can continue to use them.. if i log off and back in again i can use the PC for 30 secs or so no probs.

i have just downloaded the latest updates no joy... i thought it might be some legacy fies that it kept telling me were ready to burn to disc, but ive deleted them off now...and im getting abit frustrated!

its like my mouse cursor is fine.. until i move it down to th task bar or windows sign on the bottom left when it goes into thre "busy" circle and doesnt let me click anything...

really really annoying me now, can anyone help diagnose?!

The next time this happens try to restart explorer.exe.

To do this;

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open Task Manager.

Then end explorer.exe.

Then restart it by clicking File > New Task, and type in explorer.exe.

i alt tab del but when i do i select task manager the task manager is also "frozen" so i cant do anything, check any processes or stop anything. my only option is to log off, log back in..

OR what i just did was log in without ethernet cable inserted... leave it for 10 mins come back and its working fine without ethernet and when i rconnect ethernet so i can get baclk online it works fine?!
