Hey everyone,

Late last year i bought the green halo premium Xbox 360, and within the first 20mins i got the red ring of death (three red lights).

I havent had the problem ever since that day, am i ok thinking my 360 is fine now? Or is it already on the slipperly slope?

Is there anyway i can prevent it happening a second time?

* Bought it 12th November 2007.

There's no way to know for sure.

If you've not had the problem since then you should be fine.

3 Red Rings of light has a 3 year warrenty (one year store, two further years MS) so you are covered if *** worst does happen.

Just relax, and enjoy what is a good console.

Thanks, i forgot to get the warranty due to some problems. Been enjoying it a lot recently and would hate for it not to work.

I havent played it that much since november, so i havent really stressed to another breakdown.

You might want to remove the competitor mate, sometimes the mods can be strict on stuff like that (even as harmless mention as that).

Don't worry about the extended warrenty, the three rings have been extended for everyone, so if that fails, then you are covered.

is it a HDMI halo3 edition, if so then check on the power supply rating to see if its 175Watts, if it is its the new revised falcon chipset with the revised smaller 65nm chipset and extra heatsink on the GPU(graphic chip) - "so shouldn't fail" with the RROD. If one of them things i mentions doesn't match then you probably got the old design motherboard without the extra gpu heatsink (there is two heatsink on newer falcon or refurbs) and thus runs hotter. Either way covered by 3yr warrenty for 3 red lights.

I just got myself a falcon chipset arcade edition and it noticed runs a lot cooler even after 4 hours of gaming yesterday
