Says that man with a tictac stuck to his chin............

Nice blog, and nice car mate. Bet it drinks the fuel! Nice comfy ride and excellent acceleration at motorway speeds.

How much did that set you back? Who care what others think! your their talking about your pride and joy.

It was advertised at 7.5k, i bought it for 7k.

Bought it last week. 60k on clock.

I have 5 years no claims so got insured with privalige for £574.

If you buy an xj8 earlier than 2000 make sure the service history is at a jag dealer as most needed the engine replacement (they had a fault and needed a steel something or other). From 2000 most already had the newer engine as mine did.

currently averaging 20.1 mpg but im messin about in sport mode and putting me foot down so kickdown is enagaged a lot (performance mode).

Its a cruiser. Until it hits 4k revs its not all that fast considering its 3.2 but once it does, warp speed!

I love it! Old mans car my ***s!

I must admit I have never seen a 22 year old driving an XJ8. Lower it, tint it, get a huge xhaust, spoiler.

Now that would be class.

yeah village nr weston.

The cruise control will be a bonus but at the moment i dont feel comfortable using it.

Driving an auto is great though. Everything becomes easy and relaxing. Even when you go to pull a manover all you need to do is flick on sport mode, put you toe down and focus on whats going on around you.

Yea that was ok but you should do a car review while driving ala top gear, etc
If your aiming to entertain, more action would be good.

This thread did immediately conjure up the image of someone in their twilight years :D but thats a nice price for a lot of car, have fun :)

Its a little difficult to park and i hate taking it thru lanes as i not want to scratch it but no, when you driving it the soze isn't an issue as everything is so light and the brakes.... like a hand of god grabbing the car!

I've driven an older E reg 3 litre (i think) and that went ok, this must be a bit quicker.
