How is this possible lol.

gigabyte ex-58 ud5 (bios f9)
i7 920 (stock with turbo on currently)
6gb corsair xms3 (8,8,8,24 spec rated 1.6volts)

Cpu seems to handle 4ghz ok but ive been having some problems getting the system stable with the darn ram. ATM i have left the cpu at stock speed to figure out whats going on.

I've been trying to get the ram to run at its rated speed of 1600mhz for a few days without much joy. I had previously used the xmp profile then manually adjusted the qpi/vtt and dram voltages. Prime95 would last <5 minutes on blend :O I raised the qpi up past 1.35v a bit, i raised the ram volts past 1.65 a bit too, but no joy. Prime95 would fail in 30seconds or upto 8minutes :(

The good news tonight is: I have discovered that lowering the qpi/vtt to 1.295v with a dram of 1.60v is currently running a prime95 blend for 32minutes. I find this kind of odd. I'll see how it goes for a few hours and report back.

What I would like to know is if I will have to raise the qpi/vtt voltage when I want to oc the cpu again? Or is qpi/vtt related only to ram?

thx, jay...
