just been messing about with PC probe, and decided to click Q-control, applied it and it switched my cpu fan off!! Why? I know it will control the need for the fan but to shut it off completly.... paaaarrrrp! Especially on a dual core!! :) Brown trouser moment sir!!

decided to prime 95 with Q-control switched on, fan speed =0  started a maxiumum heat burn, the cpu fan now spins about 600rpm, after about 5mins im at 45oC on cpu and cpu fan is at 1171rpm. Is it a good idea to have the cpu fan set like this as in stop start, stop start. Or just to have it at the top revs it achieves in the benchy?? ie 1200rpm?

actually it got to flat out in the benchy, about 2100rpm, but its mega loud. I turned off q-control and turned the Tuniq down to minimum, im now at 46oC @ 1102rpm, if i crank up the juice on the tuniq the temp stays the same!!?? perhaps there isnt enough air being drawn into the case to cool the cpu?

Had many of those with fans not spinning up when i though they should be! I popped my head into my case te other night and the fan had stopped! the mobo swithed off the fan as the room was quite cold but didnt realise this was why!
