Mysql field with an & symbol breaks my code..

my google fu is failing me, how can i get my results back? I need to get it to ignore the & symbol...

Any help appreciated ;]

In which case you'll probably want to use preg_replace to sanitise the result before you pass the variable into your code, full details on php.net for examples and usage etc.

is there an ampersand in the actual field name or are you trying to enter data with an ampersand?

if the fieldname has an ampersand you need to wrap it in ticks eg `d&g field`

Its the data held in the field, havent quite nailed the preg_replace down yet ;]

Field name = Meeting
data = T&F Championships

How are you storing the current query result against a variable? Is the query result being stored as a standard string?

The field should be able to hold the '&' symbol without any modification.

What sql are you running?
