Mysterious background sound

Hi,
Every so often, I hear a strange sound from my headphones/speakers. Given when it happens, I am pretty sure it must be from Windows (XP) rather than some other program.
It sounds a bit like a page turn of a book.
Any ideas what it is?

Is it by chance whenever you empty the recycle bin?

Do you have a search window open at the time? The little dog on it scratches himself occasionally, making that noise

This is the sound of the page file getting full, you could always disable it if the sound is annoying and this probably increases system performance anyway.

Hm upon investigation, I think its the dog! He has fleas guys!
