Mysterious Pc Problem

I was playing some cs source and then the screen just froze, i figured it had just crashed, and hit the restart button on my pc. It turned off and wouldn't come back on....at all. Nothing happened, no psu fans, no case fans, nothing, except when i turned on the PSU at the back, the network card orange light would flicker, i figured it would be the psu at first, but i tested it in another pc and it works perfectly, am i right to assume its the motherboard? I also thought it could be the cpu but afaik the fans would still spin right?

Mobo is most likely, yeah. Take the whole lot out of the case and put it together on something anti-static (not carpet), see if it fires up then.

I tried it on a wooden desk, still nothing, guess i'll have to purchase a new motherboard

I'd double check by pulling everything, RAM, graphics, memory etc and then powering up.
The board should beep complaining that items are missing - but in this case I'm reckoning it'll stay silent = new mobo time.

Ok, thanks mate i'll give it a try, if not looks like i'll be ordering the DFI mATX, good choice or not?
