Hi,
My friend has recently got a mysterious 'start' right-click context menu option appear. The option only seems to appear on .exe files and clicking it just starts the program. I looked into the Registry at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers and couldn't see anything out of place. Also, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shellex doesn't exist, and thus couldn't see a ContextMenuHandlers folder for .exe.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can get rid of the 'start' option?
My friend did have an issue where .exe files would not execute (just opened a 'Open With' dialog) but we have resolved that using a Registry patch.
Thanks,
Jon
