Mystery

Maybe leave memtest running all night long? Give your RAM a couple of weeks worth of activity overnight?

Will do.

Btw, I've ran sfc/scannow several times after encountering problems and each time get the same result: It finds errors but is unable to fix them. Would this be linked to faulty ram?

It could point to a dodgy disk, which might also be the cause of your problems. Most manufacturers have their own disk checking utilities that you can grab from their website. Have a look for one.

I had a look but couldnt find anything on the corsair website :( I have used crystaldiskmark before and dont remember seeing any errors on there - cant remember exactly if it actually tests for any mind you :p

I'd make sure Hibernate off as well, I've had issues with that.

I'd also agree with No-one, I used mem with an old DFi LANParty rig and ended up having to change it. Similar symptoms to you, stupid things happening for no explanation.

Took freekin weeks to trawl thru forums till I eventually found someone with the same rig setup and who had zeroed it down to the mem he was using.
Damn frustrating tho.

Thanks super, I'm pretty sure hibernate is off.

Ran memtest again as suggested - 11 passes and no errors

Now having issues with firefox crashing on sites that never used to cause a problem  Does anyone know of a program like memtest i can use to test my ssd?

I found the problem guys! After some more research it's almost certainly my ssd :(

Mystery solved I guess :( :p

Ty to all that posted
