Hi, could anyone please tell me how to find the N/B temp and what sort of temps I should be aiming for? I was thinking of getting a Antec SpotCool System Cooler for the N/B - does anyone else use this? Is it easy to install? Is there a better way of cooling the N/B? Is it actually worth it, does it make a significant difference? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for any help in advance.

You shouldn't need to worry about cooling your NB unless you are OCing.

If you are gonna be OCing then I'd suggest getting all the necessary programs (CPUz, etc) which will give you a detailed spec and stats of your system. Then, if your NB truely heats up and becomes worrying, try to get some air blowing over it.

SpotCool = win, I have one blowing over my RAM, back of the graphics card and the northbridge.

Stick a stress-test on for half an hour, earth yourself, and then touch the northbridge. If it's too hot to touch, you need cooling.

Thanks for the replies - I'll give Everest a try and see what the results are. I'll also try the touch test. Does anyone know what temps would be too hot? Also, I've currently got the Corsair Memory Cooler (Dominator fan) on my memory and an Accelero S1 with the fans on my graphics card - will I actually manage to fit a Spotcool?

Could anyone advise me if i'd have trouble fitting the spotcool - would the memory and graphics card coolers/fans get in the way?
