If all goes well I should be getting a new router in a week or two, but I need to know which one. I'm on Virgin Media Cable, and I was wondering which router to get. It would also be competing with a BT Homehub we have in the house and would be a fair distance from my computer. I was thinking of the Linksys E4200, but I'm not sure.
Thanks

This is OcUK so you'll 90% likely get someone tell you to get something else. But anything similar to that from another brand will probably do. But support for DD-WRT is a huge bonus.
Oh, and don't get a B Grade one off OcUK that pops up on page one of google shopping ;)

Its custom firmware for the router to give it lots of extra features you don't get by default.
It's free, or you can pay for it if you want support/comeback on it.
It lets you do stuff like VLANs, QoS, detailed wifi tuning, enterprise security, VPN endpoints, SNMP monitoring etc etc.
Most of which you won't use but it's still handy to have.
