Best guide for this is here: http://www.n91.us/nokia-n91-tips-tricks/howto-self-sign-symbian-sis-application-files-16.html

Thought i'd make a thread for this as the contents for it seem to be in 3 or 4 others and people ask the question everywhere!

Symbiansigned.com is very fickle with e-mail addresses, i used my private email (roady at shockwhores dot co dot uk) and got a code within minutes when at home... Just registered at work (haydn at matts dot co dot uk) and have yet to recieve a code... If your email address is unaccepted does it say? Or do they just not send you an activation code? :(

Don't know about you, but i'll be glad when theres some kind of software which does it all for you with very little 'ar$ing' about, good feature by nokia imo but very poorly supported/implimented - we should get a choice to run something anyway regardless of it being signed!

If you email is accepted and most private emails arent , it will tell you when you try and register on the site.

If anyone needs a certificate then let me know, ill be able to do a few for people but not too many.
The certificate will then let you sign your own apps with the right software, available from that help above.

finding a email they would accept was a pain, in the end I used my g/f work email. I too would not mind helping people getting them certificates to get the apps signed.

I'll try registering with a couple of different email addresses i've got (own a few domains with redirects) so can help out aswell! :)

I can confirm Nildram @gotadsl.co.uk addresses work :D

Theres an even easier way of signing your apps, it takes literally seconds.. but you still need a Symbian signed account!;)

http://www.gosymbian.com/SSIS_download.html

Download the zip file, initially you need set it all up (follow the instructions) it takes a few mins to do this, and then you are good to go. From then onwards you just select the file you want to sign, and it does it straightaway.

Leperous, surely you can get an email sent via work or university for symbian signed??

Ooooh, university email i didn't think of, i forget i have it since it all gets forwarded and labels in my gmail account :D

Genius!
*^&*%($! don't have a work one, and uni domain is not allowed either... Hmmm i'll look into farting around setting something up sooner or later just hassle when i don't own the virgin account and my mate is totally useless when it comes to keeping any documention (so he's probably lost the password) its all far too much hassle and agro for me to really try!
