Thanks for the pics and your experiences.
I too have the SG05B it currently houses an E8400 (with a Shuriken Scythe Rev. B ) on a Zotac 9300.
I am going to get the same board and processor as you have but the fit of the cooler seems really tight. It obviously goes in though.
The one thing I am worried about is judging by your pics the heat pipes on the cooler appear to overhang the memory slots a little bit.
I bought a Corsair Vengance 16gb kit (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-313-CS) Overkill i know.. but i dont want to be opening that thing up again any time soon.
So if it does overhang.. maybe ill get a smaller cooler.. i dont really want to use the stock one.
FYI.. I read somewhere that if you invert the fan on the Shurken it will draw air up through the heatsink/fins and out through the PSU, instead of fighting the PSU and this apparently helped with temps.. you do need to add a spacer between the fan and the sink tho.
Ill be trying it if i keep the shurken.
