n00b needs help

i've recently started using standby a lot, when i found it it remembers what u were last doing and pauses it

however it would be nice if the fans turned off when the PC is in standby, anyone have an idea of how i'd go about this ?

Use hibernate instead. In standby the machine is still on and generating heat. In hibernation it is off and in a saved state.

thats true but my last system was different

in standby all the fans would turn off, even the PSU and the power LED went orange instead of green.

Are you using S1 mode or S3 mode, the fans should switch off. . .

oh maybe thats the problem u see, i've seen a setting for S1 and S3, which one should it be *it rhymes*
