I've just bought one today (thanks to OCUK, naturally).

It seems too good to be true so far, minimal setup mither, just plugged my two PC's and my 360 in and it's absolutely perfect.

Can't help but thinking that there maybe should be more to it though. Is there some kind of configuring I should have to do to make it uber-secure or is it good enough with default settings? I checked on Shields Up! and all the checked service ports were stealthed....

Cheers

yup that simple.NAT is on as standard i believe.
not the wireless version?
i personally run Zonealarm free as well but it probably is not necessary :)

Unless he configures the router firewall, mainly to prevent outbond info coming out from his PC. In this respect Zonealarm is a good addition.

Apart from that it is supposed to be a seamless process

Other than changing the password, I don't think there's much else to do unless you have specific needs.

I got a DG3484 just before Christmas when noise on my line brought my old SMC Barricade to its knees. I'm really chuffed with it - it seems to hold on to sync even when the snr goes really low (though I've since disconnected the ring wire which has bumped up both the snr and the sync speed).

Cheers guys. If I start to suspect something suspicious I might whack ZA on, but otherwise if it ain't broke I won't fix it!
